The advice
wasn't wrong.
It just wasn't
built for me.

I didn't build Hardgainer University because I had the answers from the start. I built it because I spent years without them — training hard, eating as much as I could, following every program that promised results, and getting almost nothing back. Eventually I stopped blaming myself and started asking why.  What I found changed everything. The Blueprint is the result.
In Anthony's words

How I got here —
and why it matters.

Phase 1 — Skinny from the start
I've been skinny my whole life. I never had much of an appetite, ate anything without thinking about it, and never gained weight. I wasn't lazy and I wasn't undereating — at least not on purpose. I just assumed some people were built that way, and I was one of them. That was just how it was, and I assumed it always would be.
Phase 2 — Trying everything
When I started training seriously, I did everything I was supposed to. Consistent gym sessions. Eating as much as I could manage. Following programs that promised results. Mass gainer shakes. High-volume splits. More food, more sets, more effort. The scale moved occasionally, then slid back. After a year of genuine effort, I looked essentially the same.
Phase 3 — The shift
The frustration built to a point where motivation wasn't the question anymore. Something was structurally wrong. I stopped asking "am I trying hard enough?" and started asking "why isn't this working?" That shift — from effort to understanding — is where everything changed for me.
Phase 4 — The research
I found the concept of the hardgainer — not as a vague internet label, but as a physiological reality with a specific mechanism. Bodies that burn energy faster. Digestive systems that struggle with volume. Recovery windows that are narrower than average. Calories burned outside the gym that quietly erase any surplus before muscle growth can start. The research was real. The explanation was real. And none of the programs I'd been following had accounted for any of it.
I spent the next years going deep — metabolism, appetite regulation, recovery science, progressive overload specifically applied to hardgainer physiology. Not to become a coach. To understand my own body well enough to actually change it.
Phase 5 — The breakthrough
When I rebuilt my approach from scratch — nutrition structured around my actual appetite, training calibrated to my recovery rate, sleep treated as non-negotiable rather than a variable — the results came. Not overnight. The hardgainer timeline is slower than average, and I'm honest about that in the Blueprint. But they came, and they compounded. For the first time, the system was built for how my body actually works — and it responded.
Phase 6 — Building HU
The gap between what exists for hardgainers and what hardgainers actually need is enormous. Most of what's marketed to us is adapted generic advice with a different label. The research into hardgainer-specific physiology exists — it's just never been turned into a system someone can actually follow. That gap is why I built Hardgainer University.
The Blueprint is that system. Every module, every protocol, every recommendation reflects the research and the first-hand experience behind it. It's the guide that would have saved me years if it had existed at the start.
"I spent years doing what you're doing — every program, every shake, every piece of advice. Then I stopped blaming myself and started asking why. I discovered I was a hardgainer, learned how my body actually worked, studied the science behind recovery and metabolism, and built a system from scratch that finally unlocked real results. That trial and error cost me years. The Blueprint is how you skip straight to what works."

What this stands for

The mission
hasn't changed
since day one.

I built Hardgainer University for one reason: to give hardgainers the system that mainstream fitness never gave them. Not adapted advice. Not tips for skinny guys. A complete system built from the ground up for how this specific body type actually works.

Every piece of content here — every article, every module, every guide — is measured against a single question: does this actually help a hardgainer, or is it generic advice repackaged?

"To give hardgainers the system that mainstream fitness never gave them. Not adapted advice. Not tips for skinny guys. A complete system built from the ground up for how this specific body type actually works."

  • Logic first

Every recommendation comes with the reason behind it. My audience responds to explanation, not instruction. If I can't explain why, I don't recommend it.

  • Honesty over motivation

Hardgainer progress is slower than average. That's the honest answer. I'd rather tell you that upfront than let you quit thinking something's wrong with you.

  • Systems over tips

A single tip didn't fix my situation. A connected system did — where nutrition, training, and recovery work together. That's what I build.

  • Specificity over generality

Generic advice is everywhere. I'm not interested in adapting it. Everything here starts with the hardgainer as the baseline — because that's what I am.

  • Empathetic but direct

I know exactly what this experience feels like. I also know there's a system that fixes it. I validate the struggle without being sentimental — because what you actually need is the solution.
